The field of architecture is gradually moving away from the sharp distinction between man-made structures and their surroundings. The Maidla Nature Resort in Estonia is a modest hotel tucked away in the woods. Situated among growing trees, the building provides a rich natural scenery and gives the impression of relaxing in the embrace of trees. The "Eden Project," a botanical garden in an eco-park in Cornwall, England, has become one of the country's top tourist attractions after erecting an eco-friendly, dome-shaped greenhouse on a site the size of 30 soccer fields.
The “Design District”, a creative-oriented commercial district that opened in time for the 2021 London Design Festival, is also located in London's Greenwich neighborhood. Eight architectural teams covered the interiors and exteriors of 16 buildings with intriguing and adorable details, adding aesthetic touches to buildings that would otherwise be utilitarian, making the area feel like viewing a work of art. |

In addition to original CMF concepts, technologies such as 3D Modeling and Printing, Building Information Modeling (BIM) utilizing 3D virtual worlds, and the Internet of Things (IoT) are becoming more prevalent in achieving this harmony between man-made structures and nature. In addition to accelerating the work process, they enable architects to create high-precision models from the beginning. |

The borderless trend is also evident in living spaces and interiors. With people spending more time at home as a result of the pandemic, interest in interior design has soared. |

Bringing new value to products that used to be functional |
|
|
In the realm of electronics and mobile devices, there is a concerted effort to depart from traditional function and design to create a product that reflects the individual's personality. In order to differentiate the design of laptops beyond the product's specs, CMFs with a bright and cheery ambiance are being implemented as the areas of use and ages of consumers have diversified. |

Future automobiles, a space, not a mode of mobility |

Sony Honda Mobility (SHM), a joint venture between Sony and Honda, attracted attention by showcasing its first prototype model of the electric automobile, AFEELA, at CES 2023. Sony Honda Mobility aimed to build a new automotive company unlike any other by combining Honda's electric car development strengths with Sony's tailored content, video, and sound capabilities. The concept of the future automobile is moving beyond transportation to include the concept of space. Drivers and passengers will be able to enjoy the same games, OTT, and other entertainment they do at home in an automobile with a large display in the age of completely autonomous driving. |

|
At CES 2023, BMW unveiled the concept automobile "I Vision D," which blends the virtual and physical worlds and was hailed for not ignoring the emotional experience of driving despite its digitalization. Another feature worth noting is the natural color electronic ink technology, which may be used to manipulate 240 electronic-ink areas independently to create nearly endless patterns and colors. |
